Datacenter locations
Our infrastructure is hosted exclusively in Europe (France, Germany, Finland) and RGPD-compliant.
- Infrastructure and customer accounts - Paris, Nice (Pulseheberg, France)
- Backups - Orléans (LRob, France) - Helsinki (Hetzner, Finland)
- Shared web and application hosting - Falkenstein, Nuremberg (Hetzner, Germany)
Software
Our servers run on Debian and use exclusively free and open-source software, with the exception of Plesk for the hosting administration interface.
No obsolete or unmaintained operating systems are used.
For maximum security, updates are automatically applied on a daily basis.
Physical servers
Our infrastructure is optimized to combine performance and energy efficiency.
Web hosting is based on high-performance dedicated servers, used for 2 to 5 years by LRob and then redistributed to other Hetzner customers, prolonging their lifespan and limiting electronic waste.
For less demanding applications, we prefer VPS, especially ARM64, which further reduce power consumption.
Web hosting servers
Our dedicated servers are equipped with CPUs selected for their excellent balance between single-threaded and multi-threaded performance. Shared between customers, they offer high power at affordable cost. As these servers consume the most energy, we have chosen the most energy-efficient datacenter available (PUE 1.13).
- srv02.lrob.net - AMD Ryzen 5950X, 128 GB RAM (Hetzner, Falkenstein, Germany)
- srv03.lrob.net [host01] - AMD Ryzen 5950X, 128 GB RAM (Hetzner, Falkenstein, Germany)
LRob infrastructure
LRob websites and domains
The LRob web server is a Performance VPS hosted at Pulseheberg, separated from customer production for reasons of security and energy efficiency. It carries the authoritative DNS zone for lrob.net and other infrastructure domains (lrob.fr, portail.lrob.fr, etc.).
- srv00.lrob.net - Ryzen 9900 (Pulseheberg, Paris, France)
Secondary DNS servers
Three VPSs in different locations provide DNS redundancy. As this is a light-weight application, VPSs are more than enough to save costs and energy, while benefiting from the redundancy inherent in virtualization hosts.
- ns1.lrob.net - Intel Xeon (Pulseheberg, Paris, France)
- ns2.lrob.net - Intel Xeon (Pulseheberg, Nice, France)
- ns3.lrob.net - ARM64 (Hetzner, Nuremberg, Germany)
Application servers
App01 hosts our containerized applications (Docker). Turn01 is a VPS dedicated to TURN relay for Nextcloud Talk and Jitsi, compatible with ports 80/443 to guarantee videoconferencing even on the most restrictive networks.
- app01.lrob.net - AMD Epyc (Hetzner, Nuremberg, Germany)
- turn01.lrob.net - ARM64 (Hetzner, Nuremberg, Germany)
Backup server
Backups are made to two remote sites:
- LRob premises (Orléans, France) - Pull backs via BackupPC on encrypted partition, 12-month retention period
- Hetzner (Helsinki, Finland) - Encrypted incremental push backups via Plesk (hosting metadata), 2 to 3-month retention period
Service status
The status of our services can be consulted in real time on uptime.lrob.net.
