Connecting to email addresses

Username/Password

  • Your identifier is always your full email address (e.g. moi@monsite.com).
  • Your Password was set when the email address was created. If you need to change it, you can do so via your control panel Plesk.

If you have any doubts or need assistance changing your password, you can contact support at the following address: https://portail.lrob.fr/support/.

Webmail connection

A webmail is an e-mail interface accessible via a web browser. It lets you view and manage your e-mails without any special configuration. LRob provides webmail Roundcube with all its accommodation.

The main advantage of webmail is that it connects directly to the mail server, giving you immediate access to your e-mails without any manual configuration.

Webmail URL

If your domain is monsite.comyou can access your webmail at the following address :

  • Example: http://webmail.monsite.com

Note Make sure you type this URL directly into your browser's address bar, not into a search engine. You can also bookmark it for quick access.

Connection via email client

PC connection

Integrated clients such as Apple Mail or Microsoft Mail on Mac or PC due to their complexity and instability. The recommended software is Mozilla Thunderbird which is free and open-source. You can download it here: https://www.thunderbird.net/fr/.

You can also use Microsoft OutlookBut it has its drawbacks: it's not free, it's heavy, it's relatively unstable, and since the update at the end of 2023, it collects your personal data, including the content of your e-mails.

Tip Thunderbird and Outlook support automatic mailbox configuration, which means you only need to enter your email address and password. Technical parameters are automatically configured.

Mobile connection

iPhone : Use the customer Mail integrated, although it can be temperamental if incorrectly configured. Pay attention to details when configuring.

Android We recommend the application of BlueMail for simple, efficient email management : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.bluemail.mail.

Manual email configuration

The connection to your mailbox is made via the following protocols IMAP (incoming, to check your e-mail) and SMTP (outgoing, to send emails).

Important Do not use not your Internet Service Provider's (ISP) SMTP server: your e-mails may not be delivered due to authentication standards that require the use of your e-mail service provider's SMTP server.

Email port and protocol settings

Replace "yourdomain.tld" with the domain of your email address (the part following the "@" in your address).

ProtocolServerPortEncryptionIdentifierPassword
IMAPmail.yourdomain.tld993SSL/TLSYour email addressYour email password
SMTPmail.yourdomain.tld465SSL/TLSYour email addressYour email password

Understanding the parameters

  • Server The domain name of your mail server, in the form mail.yourdomain.tld. If in doubt, consult your support team. A certificate Wildcard must be in place to guarantee a secure connection.
  • Port Each protocol (IMAP, SMTP) uses a dedicated port for communication. Make sure your firewall or antivirus software doesn't block these ports. Note that port forwarding on your router is not concerned here.
  • Identifier Your login is always your full email address.
  • Password If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it via your control panel. Plesk.
  • SSL/TLS encryption This option secures your exchanges with the mail server. Thunderbird and Outlook support these protocols, but Outlook tends to handle the distinction between SSL and STARTTLS. If you use Outlook, prefer the 465 with SSL for SMTP.

  2. In the Path to root folderenter INBOX.
  3. Confirm, then restart Outlook.
