There are plenty of WordPress plugins for displaying a restaurant menu... but none of them ticked all the boxes: simplicity, Gutenberg compatibility, elegant display and clear structure for complex menus.
To meet this need, we have created LRob - La Carte, a plugin designed for restaurants, bars and brasseries, carefully developed by LRob, WordPress specialist.

🍽️ A plugin born of a real need

It all started with a customer project: the bar orléanais Coal.
Their team wanted a site that was modern, fast and easy to manage. Problem: no “menu” plugin offered a fluid experience in the Gutenberg editor.

Many existing solutions still relied on shortcodes, hard-to-update pages and outdated interfaces.
We therefore decided to design our own solution, which is lightweight, ergonomic and perfectly integrated with WordPress : LRob - La Carte.

The plugin provides complete menu management, designed for both simplicity on the admin side and performance on the frontend:

Product management name, description, image, multiple prices, badges and allergens
Hierarchical categories classify your dishes or beverages by section, sub-category or theme
Dynamic filtering the user can display only what he wants (categories, types, etc.)
Allergen display and badges to highlight important information
Native Gutenberg block no shortcodes! Content integrates directly into your pages or templates
Multilingual English version included, full French translation supplied
Import / Export back up or migrate your data with ease

LRob - La Carte is not just a visual tool.
Under the hood, it boasts a solid structure:

Customized tables for better performance (wp_lrob_categories, wp_lrob_products, wp_lrob_product_prices)
Ready-to-use translation files (.pot, .po, .mo)
Automated release script (compilation, packaging, cleanup)
WordPress 6.8+ and PHP 8.4+ compatible

The result is a reliable, scalable plugin perfectly suited to professional environments.

Simple installation :

Download the latest ZIP version from the “Releases” page”
Install it in your WordPress via Extensions → Add → Upload extension
Activate the plugin and configure your categories and products

Note: For the moment, the plugin is not yet available on the official WordPress directory - so updates must be done manually.

Compatibility with other LRob extensions

And of course, other plugins are already in the pipeline:
