LRob is pleased to officially announce his move to LLC. 🚀

This isn’t just an administrative formality: it’s the logical culmination of a journey that began in 2010 as a sole proprietor, and the starting point for what comes next. Here’s why we’re making this change—and, most importantly, what it means for you in practical terms, whether you’re a long-time customer or are just discovering LRob today.

A Brief History of LRob

It all started in 2012 with an online community where I (Robin, founder of LRob) managed the Linux servers, without realizing that I had just found my calling. WordPress came into the picture in 2014; six years at the Orléans-based hosting provider HaiSoft (2017–2022) did the rest, and since 2023, LRob has been my full-time business. Forming a limited liability company (SARL) is the natural next step on this journey. (The full story is here)

Why Switch to an LLC?

As the business grows, the structure must keep pace. There are three specific reasons behind this decision:

Deduct business expenses that have become substantial. Servers, licenses, tools, infrastructure: Running a high-quality hosting service is expensive, and these expenses require an appropriate framework.

To be able to offer new services. The SARL legal structure paves the way for resale: VPS and servers, software licenses, AI tokens, and even domain names at even more competitive rates. Nothing is set in stone at this point, but the framework is now in place to expand our offerings in your best interest.

Invest in external service providers. Being able to draw on outside expertise means improving the customer experience and accelerating business growth, so we can place even greater emphasis on the quality for which LRob is renowned.

What's Changing for You

Your customer portal is moving

The LRob portal is no longer available; everything is now consolidated on the main website:

Please take a moment to log in and verify that everything is correct: your login information, subscriptions, rates, and other details. If anything seems unusual, please report it via a support ticket.

Your automatic payments will continue

We've taken all necessary steps on the store and Stripe sides to ensure your renewals continue as usual. Just be sure to keep a valid payment method on file.

VAT: LRob absorbs it whenever possible

LRob SARL must now charge VAT on renewals. Rather than simply passing this cost on without thinking, here is the approach we are taking:

  • French Companies : The 20 % VAT is added to the renewal fee, which you can then reclaim on your end.
  • Individuals, sole proprietors, associations, and public agencies (no existing discount): LRob applies a discount of 16,67 % based on the amount excluding tax. Result: Your renewal total, including tax, remains identical compared to what you were paying before. This special discount remains valid as long as you keep your plan (it does not apply to new subscriptions).
  • Recipients of a 20 % discount : Your discount remains in effect, but sales tax applies.
  • Swiss and Estonian companies that are already clients : VAT is not charged in the cases examined; the invoice includes a specific note stating that the VAT rate is 0 %.

This approach pretty much sums up the company's philosophy: the customer comes first, with no unpleasant surprises.

An exceptional warranty, now even more comprehensive

LRob is staying no obligation, with its warranty 30-day money-back guarantee on hosting services. To support the transition, this guarantee is extended to all automatic renewals for the next 30 days following the change in status, that is, until Friday, July 3, 2026.

New Terms and Conditions

The Terms and Conditions have been updated with the new contact information. They now specify the procedures for amending the Terms and Conditions, as well as the rights available to you in such cases: www.lrob.fr/cgv/

A requirement that is by no means new

This structural change goes hand in hand with ongoing technical requirements. In early 2026, the entire LRob server fleet underwent an overhaul of more than 100 stages of standards and updates, to ensure safety, performance, and reliability. The limited liability company extends this approach to administrative and financial matters: a solid foundation at every level to continue investing in service quality.
