WordPress crash: rapid intervention and LRob expertise
"There has been a critical error on this site": Is your WordPress site unresponsive?
A down WordPress site is a disaster: you can't display your pages, you lose sales, your image is tarnished... and stress is added to the equation.
Perhaps you tried an update that went wrong? A recalcitrant plugin? A "A critical error has occurred on this site" message blocking everything? Or a error 500 or 403 that prevents your visitors from accessing your content?

The good news: you're not alone and problem resolution can be very quick.
At LRob, we're both webhost and webmaster WordPress. And that changes everything: unlike traditional web hosts who simply tell you "the server is working, see a webmaster", we are also the webmaster who resolves your breakdowns, without unnecessary delay.

Intervention possible even if you are not yet a LRob customer
You can call on us to repair your site even if your hosting is elsewhere. In this case, we use the access you provide to diagnose and correct the problem.
However, we have to be transparent: resolution is always faster and more efficient for our customers hosted at LRob.
Why? Because we already have all the tools:
- Access SSH and detailed server logs to immediately understand the origin of the bug.
- WordPress Toolkit integrated into Plesk: deactivate a broken plugin or theme even if the WordPress interface is down.
- Automatic daily backups with 12-month retention for one-click rollback.
- A server custom-configured for WordPress, avoiding 95% errors encountered elsewhere.
The result: whereas with other hosting providers you may have to wait days with a blocked site, at LRob we can get a site back online in just 5 minutes. It's for this reason in particular that our webmastering offers are only available on our webhostings.

The most common WordPress faults we repair
We've already encountered every scenario. Here are a few examples:
- WordPress critical error "There has been a critical error on this site" after an update: we identify the offending plugin or theme and restore a working state, or fix its dependencies.
- Error 500 due to faulty plugin or server misconfiguration or incompatible extension: deactivate or change plugin, or immediately correct settings.
- Error 403 (Forbidden): often a concern about incorrectly applied rights or security rules, either on files, on the site's .htaccess, or in a script itself.
- White Screen of Death: usually hides a 500 error, obsolete code or missing function, repaired by restoring files or fixing the child theme.
- Redirection loops: incorrect WordPress or .htaccess settings, cache or SSL redirection problem at issue, quick diagnosis and correction.
- Interrupted updates: incomplete or inconsistent files cause the site to crash: we identify and correct them.
Every problem has already been seen, analyzed and solved dozens of times by LRob. That's why we know exactly where to look and how to act fast and put the logic in place to avoid recurrence.
What we do to fix your site

- Immediate diagnosis
We reproduce the error and analyze the logs, code and hosting environment to identify the fault. - Targeted correction
Deactivate or update problematic plugins or themes, repair database, adjust PHP/MySQL settings, restore files. Suggest alternative plugins and help with changes. - Restore if necessary
With our 12-month daily backups, we can bring a stable version of your site back online, even after a severe outage. If your site is hosted outside LRob and you have a backup, we can also restore it for you as a last resort, but we always prefer upgrading to downgrading. How does a typical procedure work?
A WordPress site hosted elsewhere was displaying a critical error after updating WooCommerce. The original host simply replied: "The server is working, contact a webmaster".
The customer ordered one hour of maintenance. We took charge: full site backup, duplication on one of our servers, log analysis, downgrading of the offending plugin: the problem was solved on our server.
After discussion with the customer, he chose to migrate his site to LRob. We carried out the migration and resolved the problem in a single step, taking advantage of fast DNS transition rules (TTL) and the inaccessibility of the site on the old server.
Following this migration to LRob, the site was more than 2x faster, with numerous additional security features and truly efficient support. Thanks to our advice, the site regained its stability and hasn't crashed for several years now.
Conclusion: leave the repair of your WordPress to a specialist
